God at Work in Haiti this Summer / by Roseanne Krzanowski

Exciting things happening in Haiti this summer!

The summer mission is on, with plans for Gospel outreach, Vacation Bible School and leader training. (For the safety of our team, details will be shared after the trip.)

This mission is coordinated by Grande Chorale De l’Eglise Wesleyenne Smyrne de Cité Chauvel (Grande Chorale of the Cite Chauvel Wesleyan Smyrna Church) .

The Chorale mission group is also coordinating a special project right now:

Many families have been displaced or victimized by armed groups in the town of Mirebelais. Their goal is to offer some material relief to 300 families with survival kits. Each family kit contains food staples – oil, rice, pasta and canned goods – as well as cleaning products and feminine hygiene products. (See photo).

Display of some items placed in emergency kits for families in urgent need. A $60 gift will fund one kit.

Our partner TSIDKENU continues to reach young people with the Gospel and job training to give them hope and opportunities to change their nation. A countrywide prayer campaign is being planned. Let’s pray for God to move in a mighty way in the face of great challenges this summer!

The Build Back Better house renovation continues.

Before/after photos from a recent project are shown below.

Three more houses are ready to be done, and more can be taken on when sponsors are found.  It costs about $1400 to sponsor a house. Homeowners contribute materials, money and labor as they are able.

Please join us in prayer for Haiti this summer, and consider clicking “Donate” to give a gift securely. Circumstances are very difficult, but clearly God is at work. As Haitians say, “La vie est dur, mais Dieu est bon.”
