Hand to Hand for Haiti missionaries train teachers in a different location each summer, and the trainees will lead the program in their town the next year. You can see in this photo that it has a frame for a second floor. If it were finished, it could be used for missionary housing, classes and conferences. Also, it might be possible to obtain solar panels if we could find a way to ship them. He left his operations in Mirebelais to survey the damage and help the people as much as he could. The need is overwhelming, and Hand to Hand for Haiti is helping him to implement a three-phase plan: relief, recovery and rebuilding. The short-term plan involves sending money to buy food, water, medical supplies and other essentials for those left devastated by the hurricane. The mid-term plan includes collecting goods to ship for the cleanup and longer-term provision for needs. The long-term plan envisions multiple services operating out of a community center and helping to build the economy.
